We believe in one God eternally existing in three persons (the same
in
substance but distinct subsistence), Father, Son, and Holy Spirit,
each of whom possesses equally all the attributes of Deity and the
characteristics of personality.
We believe that God inspired all the words of the Bible, the 66
books
of the Old and New Testaments, to give human people His authoritative
revelation wholly without error of any kind in the original writings.
This means that the Bible tells the truth, which may include
approximations, free quotations, the language of appearances, and
different accounts of the same event as long as these do not
contradict.
We believe in the virgin birth, earthly miracles, sinless life,
substitutionary death on the cross, bodily resurrection, ascension,
and the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
We believe that the Holy Spirit has come to reveal and glorify Christ,
to convict and draw people to Christ; to regenerate, indwell, seal
and
baptize believers into the body of Christ; to impart gifts to
believers and enable them to live holy lives.
We believe that people were created in the image of God; however,
because of their sin people deserve eternal separation from God. Since
all people sin and stand condemned, they are in need of Christ's
salvation.
We believe that God gives eternal life and keeps secure those who
trust Christ understanding their sinful condition and Christ's
substitutionary death paying for their sin. Salvation is conditioned
solely on faith in Jesus Christ. The addition of good works, water
baptism, surrender to the Lordship of Christ, and public confession
are very important in the Christian life but none is prerequisite for
salvation or eternal security.
We believe that all Christians sin; however, all believers are called
to live holy lives.
We believe that the Church (i.e. the body of Christ) consists of
all
those who put their faith in Christ.
